Wayne Parnell is a South African Cricket player. Wayne Parnell was born 30 July 1989 (age 27) Port Elizabeth, Cape Province, South Africa. He spent his formative years in Booysen’s Park. He attended Grey High School and the proceeded to study Human Resource Management at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (Now Nelson Mandela University).

Wayne Parnell has represented South Africa in all formats of cricket making his T20I debut on the 13 January 2009, his ODI debut on the 30 January 2009 and Test debut on 14 January 2010. He is a fast swing bowler and has been considered to be one of the best in the world. He is listed at no. 49 on the ICC ODI bowler rankings.
Parnell converted to Islam before marrying wife, Aisha Baker, thus he is also known as Waleed.
